Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
INFLUENCE and COMMON SENSE! Do you know the role they play in your life? If not, roll up your sleeves and shore up your resolve to go down an intimate path of discovery. Get Up Close and Personal with exactly who and what you allow to INFLUENCE your heart and mind… and to what degree? It’s important to know when and if you’re allowing an INFLUENCE to Push OR Nudge your decision making process. This is where Common Sense comes into play. Granted, it’s not very popular. BUT… it’s something that ~ once you possess it ~ you never want to leave home OR do and decide anything without it! Common Sense isn’t something you buy. BUT… it is a Life Lesson ~ something you learn for free ~ if AND when you’re willing to pay attention AND listen to that Voice ~ that Whisper of Wisdom ~ that comes from within. You hear It all the time… AND YET you ignore It most of the time. WHY? This is where INFLUENCE comes into play. Consider this: We live in a world that aggressively pursues and accommodates False Impressions. If something appears too simple ~ too cheap ~ or too easy to acquire ~ it’s routinely devalued and/or rejected; UNLESS, of course, it has been sanctioned by a class of known and unknown people we deem worthy to provide a blueprint for the assignment of value, status, and importance. We allow such people to govern over and INFLUENCE COMMON SENSE! Stay mindful that EMPOWERMENT begins with an awareness of SELF as well as What and How Knowledge is Stored ~ Processed ~ Accepted ~ and/or Rejected in the heart and mind. KNOW whether you’re being Pushed OR Nudged ~ AND by What OR Whom? When you’re uncertain LET COMMON SENSE BE YOUR GUIDE! It’s free and available 24/7!

Remember, Life is What You Make It: One Choice, One Moment, One Day, One Word, One Prayer, At A Time! Seek God’s counsel in all things! Be prepared for Him to move SUDDENLY! You are blessed to be a blessing! Stay Productive.“Activity is contagious.” (Emerson). “Daily, Lord, teach us to make the most of our time so that we grow in wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12). Never forget that You and Family matter: “We’re not perfect, but we’re real, and all love each other very much!” (Steph, 2001). Be safe and always thankful, assured that “God is doing a work in you, which will be revealed in due season.” I believe the Spirit of God resides within each of us! What do you believe in…Against the odds…in spite of and not because of? TTYS!

Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
How Resilient are you? When life beats you down, are you slow to recover? OR… Do you bounce back ~ strong ~ determined, focused, and purpose driven? Just how resilient are you? When poisoned darts of disparaging innuendos and unfavorable-hurtful remarks are aimed at the very core of you ~ bent on hitting a bulls-eye ~ are you prepared and able to remove your heart, mind, and body away from their impact? Or… Do you allow those poisoned tips to hit their mark ~ to wound ~ to cripple ~ to render you incapable of moving onward and forward in pursuit of your life’s plans, dreams and goals? Do you stand there and let the vision you have for your life shatter into a million pieces ~ and be swept aside ~ along with your convictions AND your free will? Consider this: Be convicted~consumed~and committed to weaving the threads of your life into a pattern of winning ways [victories, triumphs, and successes] which you can transfer onto a fabric that can be stretched OR compressed OR put through the wringer (like wet laundry). BUT…NOT DESTROYED! However, the question still begs to be answered: How Resilient are you?

Remember, Life is What You Make It: One Choice, One Moment, One Day, One Word, One Prayer, At A Time! Seek God’s counsel in all things! Be prepared for Him to move SUDDENLY! FIRST… Determine what POWER means to you. AND… Note the words of Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. -1841-1935: “The measure of power is obstacles overcome.” THEN… Consider this:

  • Pray in the name of Jesus! Persistently Pursue a Personal relationship with God! Prioritize! Persevere! AND… Prevail!
  • Observe supply and demand ~ climate of the times ~ Obstacles ~ Opportunities ~ AND…what you have to Offer!
  • Write a list of Words that challenge and inspire. Words linked to wealth and free Will THAT embody Wisdom AND enrich the mind! Work through your weaknesses to develop your strengths. Weather your storms! AND… Don’t quit!
  • Evaluate where you are AND what is OR is not working. Examine the Economy. Exchange what you think with what you know. AND…Expect to Exceed beyond your wildest Expectations!
  • Resolve to be Responsible. Reflect and Renew your mind ~ often. Read and expand your knowledge. Reconcile your differences. AND…Respect yourself, your ability, your decisions, and others!

Stay mindful that real POWER comes from within …where the Spirit of God resides. AND…frame these words of CAUTION: “It is easier to develop great power than it is to know how to use it well.” Walter Lippmann -1889-1974.

Tuesday’s Inspirational Journal

Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
Throughout any given day, it’s so easy to get Caught Up being busy OR looking busy. Seldom do you question whether you are being creative and seeking solutions OR generating chaos and creating problems. Seldom do you think to call a TIME OUT! Seldom do you STOP and CHALLENGE the EVIDENCE and MERIT of your LABOR in proportion to time spent doing whatever it is you do. Consider this: TIME OUT isn’t just for children! It is an effective tool for everyone to STOP ~ THINK ~ and REFLECT… on a regular basis! It’s important to know whether your troubles are troubling your troubles? OR… strengthening and building your character? It’s important to know whether your troubles are molding and shaping and defining your destiny? OR… delaying it? ALSO… it’s important to know that at the end of the day AND at the heart of the matter ~ a few more questions remain: Did your choices and actions strengthen OR weaken your sense of EMPOWERMENT? Are you in a better position to help yourself…and others?

Remember, Life is What You Make It: One Choice, One Moment, One Day, One Word, One Prayer, At A Time! Seek God’s counsel in all things! Be prepared for Him to move SUDDENLY! Monday’s Inspirational Journal

Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
Peace OR Adversity? Which would be your struggle of choice … if you had to choose? Whatever your answer, know that it will arrive Express Delivered by way of Perception ~ of how you factor peace and adversity into your life; their meaning and significance to you has everything to do with how you respond. Knowing whether your struggle is personal or global makes a difference: One has to be achieved and protected BEFORE the other can be sought and resolved. Too often world peace is sought BEFORE inner peace has been secured and anchored in both heart and mind. Bhagavad Gita (6th century B.C.) said it best: “Inner peace is beyond victory or defeat.” Consider this: Inner peace DOES NOT promote struggle. HOWEVER… it DOES create purpose WITH intent to understand the importance of Adversity. An anonymous author said: “Adversity reveals and shapes character.” Another said: “Adversity weakens the weak and strengthens the strong.” AND… there is a Chinese saying: “Only with cutting is jade shaped to use; only with adversity does one achieve the Way.” FIRST… Address your issues… BEFORE going global! Stay mindful that it is by the daily renewing of your mind that you find God’s wisdom to discern whether you are pursuing inner peace… to resolve adversity …OR… whether adversity is pursuing your inner peace! THINK ABOUT IT ~ THEN BE ABOUT WHAT YOU KNOW!

Sunday’s Inspirational Journal

Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
Happy Palm Sunday! Not only is this a time to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ ~ it’s also another opportunity to acknowledge God, “Overcome with joy because of His unfailing love, for He has seen your troubles, and He cares about the anguish of your soul.” (Psalm 31:7). It’s also an awesome opportunity to begin a journey worth taking [in your heart and mind] in search of the Wisdom ~ Knowledge ~ Peace ~ and Power found in the Word of God. How else can you combat the criticism of others and remain focused with purpose and intent? How else can you find the strength and encouragement to reject the limitations others attempt to place on you and over your life? How else can you stand strong in Faith, unwaivering and assured that “God does not look at the same thing man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)? Consider this: “For I know the plans I have for you.” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and NOT for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11). Don’t give anyone the power to quash your hope, your dreams, your goals! Don’t let the dictates of others STOP you from living the Blessed Life God planned for you [as His Beloved] in abundance, to the full, and running over! Stay mindful that [You] are what [You] believe.” (Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, 1860-1904).

Saturday’s Inspirational Journal

Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
What’s in your way: Failure? OR Opportunity? All too often the response is framed in blame: Too much failure and too little opportunity. Seldom is the response a confessional of ownership: Too many failed attempts and too few attempts at opportunity. Unfortunately, when failure is seen as a weakness rather than a strength, it becomes an uncomfortable stigma no one wants to acknowledge…let alone embrace. Oddly, though, there seems to be an unsettling acceptance to let opportunity and invisibility become one AND the same ~ allowing doubt, fear, self-pity, and frustration to aggregate into an enabling force that takes center stage in your life. Consider this: Failure is an open ended door for discernment and discovery. It’s how you learn what doesn’t work ~ what not to do ~ what you’re not good at. Failure is best friends with Experience; what better Opportunity is there ~ to know the texture, tone, flavor, and embodiment of failure ~ than to experience it all [up close and personal]! Failure is the perfect Opportunity to regroup ~ recharge ~ redesign ~ and redefine goals, dreams, visions… and self! Failure IS Opportunity! Make it work for you NOT against you! Question: ARE YOU IN THE WAY OF YOUR OWN SUCCESS?

Remember, Life is What You Make It: One Choice, One Moment, One Day, One Word, One Prayer, At A Time! Seek God’s counsel in all things! Be prepared for Him to move SUDDENLY! Friday’s Inspirational Journal

Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
Aside from prayer ~ What do you do when you don’t know what to do? Do you give up and give in? OR, Do you shore up your backbone and dig in your heels, determined to discover a way out? Before you respond, consider developing a mental strategy ~ a plan of action that will challenge the heart and mind ~ the very core of you ~ the place within where the Spirit of God resides.

  • Look for a pattern of thoughts that consistently dominate the mind.
  • Determine what emotions and reactions those thoughts trigger…good or bad.
  • Compare and contrast how they impact purpose and intent ~ goals and desires.
  • Validate whatever you discover. THEN..ACT! CHANGE WHAT NEEDS CHANGING!
  • Breathe in Faith, Self-love, and a Commitment to be whole ~ and remain whole.
  • Exhale all the pot holes and mountains of doubt, fear, and insecurity that shield sunshine and joy.
  • Daily, challenge what you’re feeling vs. what you know.
  • Daily, affirm that you are not a victim! You are a BLESSED ~ BELOVED CHILD OF GOD!
  • Daily, affirm that “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!” (Philippians 4:13).

Take a moment. THEN… with the absolute authority and conviction of a renewed and made up mind…ANSWER the question: What will you do the next time you don’t know what to do?

Remember, Life is What You Make It: One Choice, One Moment, One Day, One Word, One Prayer, At A Time! Seek God’s counsel in all things! Be prepared for Him to move SUDDENLY! Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
You’ve partnered with God! You pray and seek His guidance! You’ve planted seed in support of your vision! You wait patiently for wisdom, knowledge and understanding! You’re working hard! You’re walking in faith with purpose and intent! NOW WHAT? You realize the truth of philosopher John Dewey’s words: “Arriving at one goal is the starting point of another.” You realize that, like time, you must continue moving forward ~ continue discovering new approaches for handling new situations as they develop and unfold in your life. You realize that life is like math, infused with variables that require knowing the right formula to solve the problem. Consider this: Be resourceful. Be ready for change AND willing to change. Don’t let Complacency take up Occupancy in your heart and mind. Stay mindful that although Circumstances have the power to slow your momentum and impede your progress…YOU and the CHOICES you make have the power to STOP them altogether! It’s up to you to RECHARGE  ~ CHANGE ~ and REDIRECT your efforts [when and where needed] as you transition from situation to situation ~  and goal to goal!

Wednesday’s Inspirational Journal

Good Morning Blessed Ones,
Break-Through is possible!
At first glance, the juxtaposition of dissimilar words [much like people] may seem glaringly obvious. HOWEVER, you might discover later that those dissimilarities can prove to be unexpected sources of enlightenment and empowerment; particularly, when the mind is stimulated to think creatively ~ outside the box ~ beyond meaning and intent. Take, for example, these two words: Intrusive and Instructive. The first means “intruding or tending to intrude.” The second means “enlightenment; conveying knowledge or information.” They are unrelated and dissimilar in meaning. YET…with a bit of creative thinking, both definitions could be mentally merged to create a premise to connote empowerment [perhaps, such as this: "What appears intrusive can also be instructive."]. Oftentimes, the very simplicity of your creativity may prove to be both memorable and effective. However, it’s up to you to create and validate a premise that will work for you. Consider this: Your willingness to be creative ~ and to think outside the box ~ will allow you to consistently challenge what is before you ~ beyond meaning and intent! Stay mindful that words alone, are just that …words. Their POWER is determined by you; your PERCEPTION assigns and defines their value and meaning; your ACTIONS dictate how ~ and to what extent they impact your life. Daily, be encouraged to pursue unexpected sources of enlightenment and empowerment to deal with life’s tests, trials, and tribulations!

Remember, Life is What You Make It: One Choice, One Moment, One Day, One Word, One Prayer, At A Time! Seek God’s counsel in all things! Be prepared for Him to move SUDDENLY!
